Sorting text messages

all text messages appear to sort by thread (in other words by sender). can the droid sort by the date and time they came in? just a list of all text messages without a filter?

I don't believe so. I don't know why you would though. It feels more organized this way.

did you ever find a solution to this? i prefer to have things organized by date so i can see a running stream of things i've sent and received.

Use Go SMS as your default SMS client. Once installed, it will initially show you conversations view. If you swipe the screen from left to right, it will bring you folders view. tap the menu button, and select folder settings>tick "show traditional folders". This will give you the inbox, outbox, sent and draft folders view. You cant enable this as default view AFAIK, but its always there if you need it.
