    Anyone consider the Desire Z?

Just curious..the more and more I look at it, the bit more tempted I am to cancel my Desire HD order and get the Desire Z lol

I considered the Z and was definitely getting one but the main thing that changed my mind was how tricky it can be to get a good quality 'skin' type case for sliders. My first ever smart phone was a Nokia N85 and I went through loads of cases but they never fit well. I've got my Nexus One in a nice rubbery gel case with an anti glare screen protector so I'm hoping for something like that on the HD. The only thing I don't like about the HD is a lack of trackball which can make cursor positioning a frikkin' nightmare.

The Z does look nice. Bit chunky though.

I'm quite happy with an on keyboard so no need for it.

like.. seriously?? I don't know why you changed your mind... but anyway, I hope you're happy with whatever phone you end up with.

I would have got it but it's only a 5MP camera and not as powerful as the HD, Shame really, I wouldn't have minded a physical keyboard

    *looks on* lol

Thats what has put me off too..Decided to stick to the Desire HD order as

    • more ram
    • better camera
    • more accessories from the off

But it has the brushed metal, professional and mega expensive look.

I hadn't changed my mind, I was pondering it..convinced my next door neighbour to get it (he has more money than sense) sim free so i'll get to mess with it hehe

    I know right!.

my main concern with the Desire HD is that its all screen..something goes wrong and thats it.

Take into consideration my Hero screen is starting to die pushes a message out to insure..a first for me lol.

I did at one point. I have previously used Nokia and Blackberry, both including an onboard keyboard. It is pretty nice to have, but the more I studied the specs and pics of the HD, the more I realized how much I can do with this bigger screen.

You're just pondering your order based on release date ;)
