Turn on the hearing aid option. That will amplify the sound.

Hmm, I just tried this & it didn't increase the volume at all.

I also think the earpiece sound on phone calls with my new Evo is pretty low compared to other phones I have owned. It's a minor disappointment. When playing media, the volume is pretty nice and loud for a small device. But the phone call volume is just too low.

you might also try updating the prl and profile under settings, updates. I had poor call quality, did that and it fixed it completely. Worth a shot!

When the hearing aid is turned on, don't you guys feel the quality becomes crappy? but if it is not turned on, then the volume is a bit low.......

Thats odd you guys say that cuz I just got my Evo friday and the earpiece volume is pretty loud, however the call quality is a bit harshm like a digitized voice you hear on the other end, I mean I can still hear the person, but I also have tmobile and use my Slide, and the call quality is clearer, I dont know if its because my friend also has tmobile, and any tmobile to tmobile is going to sound clearer, I am not sure, but the call quality is good, not great, but again earpiece volume at least for me is not the issue

I am having the same issues. Low volume of person trying to talk too and they also sound like they are fading in and out while using a earpiece. Music sounds good though.
