Help SPB Shell 3D

Hi All
I am a newbie to this forum and also to the new HTC Hero H3700.
Mine arrived yesterday and straight out of the box I had the option on power-up to use the SPB Shell 3D and set it as default.

I did this and found it just fantastic so proceeded to set up my mail, wireless, weather settings etc etc.

At some stage while setting up all my personal preferences a launcher window appeared, giving me only 2 options to continue. My SPB Shell 3D had gone from the options and I was only given the choice of two shells.

I found I could go no further unless I selected one of these launchers shells, and so selected Launcher +

However as you would expect my nice 3D shell was never to be able to activated again. Even though it still showed that it was actually on the phone, I could not get to it, to start it up again.

After many hours of searching it would appear that once the process happens, the 3D launcher is disabled and can not longer be selected in the phone.
To restore the 3D launcher back I have to restore the phone to its factory defaults and loose all my personal settings each time.

I have looked at all the other shells but they are totally flat when compaired to the easy of use with the 3D version and it looks fantasic.

I would dearly like to have this shell as the default however without rooting the phone and going into the bowls to find out what is happening, is a little beyond my capabilities, right now plus I have only owned this phone for 24 hours!

I would appreciate any help that you all may have with this problem.
Everything else appears to be functioning correctly

It would appear from the lack of reponce to this post that either the phone is too new or nobody knows how to deal with it?

My observations so far thus

After many master resets i have found that the software that comes with the new Heros, mine is one week old does not agree with the Android market Apps download site.

My SPD Shell 3D software that comes with both the Hero phones that I purchased is killed off the moment I loggin with my account.

It would appear that the Andriod Market does not accept that the software comes with my phone and promptly gives me the message that the application on my phone ( SPD SHell 3D) does not appear in my Android account therefore I cannot have it and promplty disables it.

If I reset my phone and dont go near the Android Market Place all is stable and works well.

How ever and this smacks so much of Apple!! if I put another dollar in their pocket and buy what I already paid for then I can download it and reinstall it without a problem.

From my point of view this Andriod stuff is more insidious than Apple and this needs to be brought to everyones attention.

There has to be a work around for this kind of bullshit as on principal I will not buy it after paying for what has been supplied installed on both my phones!

I have just dumped Apple phones for similar reasons and now find the same thing with Android!

Any help to work around this would be appreciated, although judging from the lack of reply it would appear that there are not too many bright sparks on this forum.
