Help Speaker crackle when playing netflix?

Has anyone else tried to play a netflix video?

Notice any speaker crackle (constantly) while playing video? I've tried 10 different videos and they all make this speaker crackle.

doesn't do this in youtube. I wonder if its a netflix issues, or a bionic hardware issue or maybe I just got one with a bad speaker?

i have a crackle in the ear piece speaker at all volumes. may be a bad speaker. if not i may be going back to the bb for now.

he is talking about the phone speaker, not the earpiece

I had the same issue with Netflix. So I plugged into external speakers and still heard the crackle so its not the Bionics speakers at least so hope a fix is in the works.

Thanks, sounds like a software issue with netflix then.

I tried playing a video from the SD card and also didn't have any crackle.

Music plays fine from net and from Sd card. Def a issue with Netflix software.

While streaming the Packers-Saints game, I checked an email during a commercial. When I went back, there was this robotic tinny quality to the speaker. Closing the video and playing it again cleared it up. So whatev.

There is a netflix update in the market. It greatly reduces the crackle noise, doesn't eliminate it completely but I would say it's 90% less crackle then it used to be.

I only watched about 10 minutes of video pre-update but after updating I just sat and watched an episode of Star Trek and the crackle was terrible. I then watched an episode of South Park and it wasn't nearly as bad but still noticeable. Checked YouTube videos and no crackle so deferentially Netflix.. had me worried for a little while.

Just did the update, crackle is still there, no better no worse. Im sure they'll do a specific update to address it....i hope lol

Mine plays fine. I had a bad earpiece on the INC2. Was so annoying I returned it.

so glad that i saw this thread. i thought it was just me that heard that subtle crackle when playing netflix. hope this gets fixed soon...

FYI this only happens using the speakerphone speaker.

If you plug a headset in or use bluetooth headset, there is no crackle from netflix.

Netflix is not compatible with media sound effects enabled when playing thru the built-in speaker. Turn it off(normal)...settings>sound>media audio effects>phone speaker>enable audio effects(uncheck it)

I just looked and that setting is already unchecked on my phone. The crackle is still there, though. At least the crackle is minimal. I can tolerate it for now, but it will be nice when Netflix fixes it.

This was happening to me. I also updated my app just now and watched an episode of SG1 with the volume the whole way up and it sounded fine now.
