Help Speaker won't shut off when I plug in headphones

When I plug in my earbuds, I'm still getting the music, etc. through the phone's speakers. Here's what I've done thus far:

• Removed battery
• Powered down
• Reflashed to Verizon stock

Nothing works, though.. Do you know of a solution??

When I was messing around with Tasker I managed to do the same thing. You aren't having fun with Tasker are you? If not, I have no idea what the problem could be aside from a hardware issue where the phone is not being told headphones are plugged in.

Silly question, but are you getting sound through the earbuds?

My phone just had to be returned because there was something wrong with the earphone jack. I couldn't plug anything in far enough to turn the speaker off and have the earbuds work.

At this point, I would say it is hardware related if you flashed back to stock. If you used a SBF file and really got back to stock, any weird settings that you might have changed that caused the problem would have been erased. So if it still happens after SBFing the phone, then that points to a hardware issue.
