Help speakers

hey, ive noticed that the volume for music is very low, infact if i put it on anything under half volume i can barely hear it which doesnt seem to be right. i was wondering on the left side of the phone are both the top and bottom slot/holes speakers? because for me i can only hear sounds from to the top one. i was thinking maybe the bottom one isnt working because the volume is very low. any insight will be appreciated.

The bottom "hole" is a mic. With the top "hole" being the speaker, Have you tried the phone on loudspeaker to see if it's still affected?
