This hasn't really impressed me much, I think they could have made it A LOT sexier.

Agreed. I'm quite partial to the stock X boot animation.

Can someone reup the file? Mega is down and the file I downloaded is the stock boot animation. I would really like to try thr R2D2. Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind, Mega is working again. This bootanimation is pretty sweet. I plan to try my own soon.

Aye, but he OP posted it several hours after the fact that this has been known since the wee-hours of this morning.

No worries though - looks like the Live Wallpapers have leaked as well.

How does one install the live wallpapers? Or the boot animation for that matter?

the boot image can be installed via clockwork recovery (the one the boot strap app installs, so yes you have to be rooted) the wallpapers are APK's, load them on your sd card and install using the OE file manager or astro file manager

I like the boot animation, but the live wallpapers stink. You have to shake the phone for anything to happen. I want one where R2 rolls around the screen without having to shake it. The astroids one is OK, but you have to shake it too.

You can also use root explorer and copy the bootanimation.zip to /data/local

StarWars R2D2: Bootanimation and Sounds pack

There you go man. It's the boot sequence and apparently they even have a video with the sound file so when it boot you hear R2 D2...so download away. I haven't received my Droid X yet, but I'm grabbing these and saving them in a file on my desktop so that I can load them when it gets here.
