So say once an hour I lose wifi data, I'm still connected to the router but getting no goodies.
Turning wifi off then on in the quick settings tile fixes it.
Is there a widget/app that will toggle it off then on with ONE TAP?

what would be ideal is if an app could detect that I'm connected but getting zero bandwidth and do it for me but I'm too lazy to learn Tasker.

What I'd do with this app or widget is add it to my notification panel... Perfection.

Thanks for reading and if anyone can shed some light on why the connection problem happens in the first player I'll dance at their wedding 💒
(doesnt happen with the Nintendo Wii.. Just Android)
    Cheers 🍻

I have Wi-Fi toggle widget by droid mania on my desktop. Just wanted something to allow me to switch Wi-Fi on or off with just one touch. Not sure if it will sit on the notification bar for you but may be worth a try

Hey peeps thanks for the suggestions but what I want is a button that I touch once and it will turn off then on wifi by itself, without me touching it again. Does that make more sense?
I already have a toggle to turn wifi on or off in my notification panel but I want a one touch button that will cycle through off then on to reset my connection (like those fake signal boosters do but with wifi)
My rom let's me put any shortcut on the notification panel so that's not a problem.
Thanks again peeps and hope I explained better this time :thumbup::beer:

I understand that you don't want to learn Tasker, but it's the only tool I can think of to do this. It took me 30 seconds to build an apk that does what you need. You don't have to install tasker to use it, it's a stand alone app.

If you want to try it you can get it here:

VOSG you bloody genius that's perfect. Thank you so much and I promise I'll give Tasker another attempt one day.
    Hope you're into coding/developing?

@saptech it's not available in my country. I could get the apk but Vosq's is ideal
    Thanks mate

I sound like such a **** but would it be hard for the wifi to be toggled off for say, 1 second?
I'm not sure if its placebo but that seems to reset it better.
    Am I imagining that?
    Thanks again mate

Still loving this app man. Do you mind me sharing it? Others have the same problem with random disconnection from their home network and this works like a dream for me.. Thanks again :beer:🍺🍺

The Tasker End User Agreement allows for distribution of the apps people create with it, so please be my guest.

I would put it in the playstore if that wasn't such a hassle :)

Edit: took the plunge and published the app on Google Play.
    Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skynet.vosg.wifionoff
It would be nice if it received a nice review :))

I could make an app at least similar to this... Wouldn't be able to persistently check your bandwith as it would get garbage collected very quickly...

Plus the way I have to write apps...

Plus it would be an app you have to open.....

Yah know scrap my whole post your better off with a widget or just using the notification tile lol.. Sorry funky

    *edit*

Just looked through the thread... I see your problem had already been answered long ago... I should pay more attention every once in a while haha
