OK all - I'm sitting inside a Best Buy - in Plymouth Meeting PA (around 15 miles from Philly. Solid 4G - go to speedtest - and here's what it shows:

Baltimore MD 9.65 MI (5110 kbps down 1103 kbps up 302ms latency)
    Washington DC 55.45 MI
    Frederick MD 61.71 MI
    Reston VA 68.43 MI
    Ashburn VA 73.69 MI
Philadelphia PA 149.29 MI (3131kbps down 10620kbps up 129 ms latency)

    3G is as follows:

Philly 93 kbps down 144 up 831 ms latency
balt 131 kbps down 103 kbps up 999 (assuming it maxed out) ms latency

Anyone else as messed up as I am?

Yes, even with GPS on the list is always WAY wrong.

Yes, having the same issue on 3G in Michigan as well. Sometimes my closest server on speedtest is KS or IN...that is even with GPS on as well. I've also tried it without and it can even be worse in terms of distance to the servers. I think that might partly be why I might be getting such bad 3G download speed at my house....

I have no idea, I would assume so.. then again it never gets a correct list of servers so idk.

Start the test with wifi, it'll get the right location, then turn it off.

Speed Test says I am 45 miles from Wichita Kansas.. Odd, because I'm actually in L.A..

is there a trick I'm missing with speedtest? I constantly can barely get more than 1 meg and seem to be getting faster upload then download. I'm in 4g coverage...
