I am looking for an application that will beep when I go over the speed limit. But I want one that is done by GPS so it automatically knows the speed limits on the roads. Any ideas?

Some navigation apps are supposed to be able to do this inbuilt, however I'm not so sure how well they work since they don't have support for that feature in my country.

Your speedometer tells you when you are going over the speed limit. Don't see a need for an app.

There are apps that give you a warning but you have to set the speed limit alarms manually.

I agree with this as you should be keeping an eye on the road/conditions anyway. That said, I used to have an app on my old Nokia E71 that would warn me of speed cameras (UK) but even on 'loud' the warnings tended to blend into the background noise after a while. So keeping a look-out was still the best policy ...

Hi, there is a very good app for what you want called "cameralert", it will cost you 59 pence, and it will let you know when to update the camera data base,it is from Pocketgpsworld

There is a free app called SPEED VIEW that will allow you to set a speed limit and then warns you when you reach it.
