When attempting to connect Epic to laptop I get this USB stroage in use message. My laptop doesn't seem to recognize the phone. I did load proper driver.

    1. Phone is connected to computer via USB cable provided with new phone.

    2. Click on Mass storage.

    3. Get message USB storage in use.

Hi jteberhardt and welcome to the forums.

I don't know why it's preventing you from connecting to your pc, especially since it's plug & play. You shouldn't need drivers to access your phone as a storage device

Have you tried using another usb port?

Hi and welcome to the forums! :)

Is USB Debugging enabled? I'm not sure if it will help in this instance, but generally speaking it can help in solving a lot of USB to PC connection issues.

You could also ask other owners of your handset in the Epic 4G subforum, they may be able to assist: Samsung EPIC 4G - Android Forums
