Root [Sprint/Cricket] Can I Update to 4.3???

Hey Guys/Gals,

I am currently stock rooted (just to use the tethering occasionally when needed) Got an update notification this morning for the 4.3 update and was wondering can I update without going back to pure stock or do I need to revert to pure stock then update.

I'm sure it's probably easier to just flash a rom that has this update, but I'm still looking for that "deck's reloaded" rom that I loved on the evo.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't. It's got loads of problems. You can re-root but that's all. Cnexus has a safe stock option. No danger and it's able to be flashed.

Thanks Dais, will probably just stay where I'm at.............if there's a way to get rid of these annoying pop up reminders for the 4.3 update???

That's it. And you'll be on 4.3 and have the option to go back too.

Had the exact same thing happen to me. If you have a custom recovery then it won't update. You'll stay on 4.1.2.

That's correct. If you want the update , then I suggest flashing a Knox free version through your cwm. Both MK3 and MK5 are available.
