[Sprint] EOL insurance claim replacement question

Has anyone file an insurance claim for an OG Evo or a Evo 3D? I heard if you file an insurance claim for an OG Evo you were to receive a Evo 3D , because the Evo reached EOL(End Of Life). But recently the Evo 3D received the same fate. My Evo is in bad shape but still works not sure to file a claim.

I haven't filed any claims, but just because a device has reached "EOL" doesn't mean that there aren't any more available. There likely are still Evo 4g's as well as Evo 3D's available for warranty replacement / insurance replacement.

In the event they don't, I'd imagine depending on who your insurance is through (Sprint vs Best Buy for example), they have a clause that says you would get a comparable device if either the Evo 4G or Evo 3D were no longer available.
