so this was just posted today over on xda. this is not my thread but it is very interesting. not sure how true this is, but it looks legit.

most of that is rubbish....it is totally yrmv when it comes to repairs (which he does state)

yeah that part i understand. if you are rooted and do something stupid to brick your phone then yes they may or may not fix it. but if you are rooted and lets say you charging port needs fixing or something that is hardware related, then there is no worries that you are rooted. i have a sprint tech that i know so it is all good as far as taking it in to him to fix my phone. but at least others now will feel better about taking it in.

It still depends on the tech you go to see. The guys I use are in an authorized independent store. Full service center, they're pretty good. As long as its hardware and not stupidity, the two techs will work with you. The sales lady, will throw you to the wolves, I stay away from her.
