I know people are talking about this everywhere and there are topics and posts, but I thought I would just post the full details for an Advantage Club contract. Not sure how this will change with the Evo, but I do notice that the Blackberry has the extra $10 charge.

This is a good idea. I kept hearing about the Advantage club and had to do some digging around a few days ago to see what exactly it was. Maybe your post will save some people some searching.

Your employee sponsor owns your Advantage Club account and will be ultimately responsible for all current and past-due charges.
Good luck finding a Sprint employee to put you on the plan. I talked to my manager buddy at my store about this plan. He said he got screwed by his own sister not paying her bill, and would never add anyone again!

Well I am on this plan and only pay $20 a month. I had great ideas of getting the Evo, but from what I am understanding I won't be able to keep my plan if I want the phone. As bad as I want the Evo, there is no way I can give up a 20 dollar, unlimited everything plan. I am hoping that here in a few months it will be available for Advantage club members without having to sign up for a much more expensive plan. I was all set for the Evo, have been reading this forum for months, I even created an account on this website just because I was excited to be able to get it, and now.....

Evo, don't dash your dreams just yet. You will be able to add the Evo to your plan. I too am a SWAC member and have been told that even though we can not buy the phone through SWAC until mid July, Advantage Club will activate one if you are able to purchase it somewhere for full price. The problem is finding a retailer that will sell it without activating a plan. My sponsor already explained that Sprint will NOT sell this phone "cold," meaning they won't sell it without activating on a plan. Does anyone have any ideas where we can find a retailer that will sell it cold?

I don't know of any... I am willing to wait till July though, while all the inevitable build kinks that follow first-run devices are worked out.

I know some folks are eBaying em, so that may be an option for some...
