Hello all - long time lurker, first time poster.

I've had problems with my Desire not going into standby (the up time and awake time are the same), which is killing my battery.

I did a search on this forum (and google) and it's not flickr that's causing the problem so as suggested in another post I downloaded spare parts which show that 'Media' has the biggest blue bar. Whenclicking on it, it states 'Partial Wakelock:Media'.

How do I find out which 'media' is causing the problem? Nothing unusual shows up in task killer (which I resorted to downloading to try to identify the problem).

Cheers for any assistance you can offer.

It was media causing the problem, the default player was continually searching for music which was keeping the phone awake. Deleting and replacing the folder didn't fix it as it just wouldn't find any. In order to resolve it I re-rooted the phone and it's been fine.

I'm a bit reluctant to put music on it again now in case it causes the same issue...!

My uptime shown is 75hrs and awake time shown is10hrs. Is it normal?? should the awake time be much less than this???

Depends on how you use it, but it sounds ok to me.

Holy Cow!!! Those are freakin amazing stats... i'd give an arm, a leg and an iPhone for those numbers:eek:

I could barely scrape by with 3 hours of *actual awake* time.
