Start up sound very loud

I use a Huawei LUA-U22 and I would like to know how to turn off the sound of the phone when it starts up. The start up volume is very loud (loud enough to wake my wife if I try to sneak off to work early morning!). Also, an unrelated issue is the green light that keeps flashing at the back of the phone (around the camera lens).How can I turn this flashing light off (to save battery)?
