Root Steps to launch CWR from power-up?

Haven't found a reliable way to launch Clockwork Recovery from power up.

There is supposed to be a sequence involving a battery pull to accommodate the fact that the D2 recovery is bootstrapped, and the original recovery is still there.

Does anyone know the specific steps to launch Clockwork Recovery on the D2 from power up?

I'm not referring to launching it from the Bootstrap app, or from ROM Manager, I'm looking for the process to launch it when you are coming from a powered down state, like after a battery pull.

Haven't gotten myself into a boot loop yet, but I'm sure I will at one point, and want to be sure I have a way to get back to recovery to restore a nandroid if I need to... :)

Thanks.

Figured it out - I wasn't waiting long enough when I did the battery pull.

Bootstrap recovery in the Bootstrap program
Turn D2 off
Start booting D2
Pull the battery when the boot animation appears (after M logo goes away)
Put battery back in
Turn D2 on

Will go to CW Recovery at that point.

Repeated it twice and worked each time. :)
