    Dear Team,

While i understand Android doesn't need to exit the app because of its architecture i would like to have a clarity on the following:

    1. For example if i'm watching a streaming video from internet, and i clicked on home button. The app will go into background - will this still consume the bandwidth & continues to buffer the video

    2. Same with all other data based apps, what does they do sitting in background. Keep consuming bandwidth?

    thanks & regards,
    Kishore

No, if you put an active data streaming app to the background, it should idle and not use up bandwidth. The only ones consuming bandwidth would be those that are set to sync data on a periodic basis.
