I was wondering if anyone has found a fix yet for this. I've done the searches and read all the posts. I've installed handcent natively from the recovery mode. Cleared the cache.

I still cannot send a pic from Handcent. Doesn't matter if I do it from the gallery and camera thru the share function or attach a pic from the handcent side. no joy. I do however receive pics. Love handcent but that is a total bummer not to have this function.

I emailed the handcent people to see if they're working on something.

I had handcent on my hero, and I refuse to install it on my moment. It messed up my picture mail, I could never receive any picture mail. As cool as some of the features are, I feel like it screwed up my phone.

I use SMS pop up now.

Never had a problem like this with Handcent and it works great for me better than stock which doesn't even play .gif files.
For Pictures really if you think about it GMAIL beats anything
you get and send full resolution pics.

Sure, you're right. But picturemail over the phone is instant and does not require the recipient to log into an email account. It enhances text. My Samsung Rant did it with ease. I've had barely an issue with my Moment either, until now. Hope yours holds out for you.

The recipient (Saying you're sending a pic) (I know Verizon and Sprint use this) Let's say your phone number is (123)456-7890
You can send a picture to the phone using this

Verizon's number would be like this 1234567890@vzwpix.com
    Sprint's would be 1234567890@pm.sprint.com
I even know Metro PCS format too which would be 1234567890@mymetropcs.com

If you add your contact's phone's email address to your contact list
    Using Gmail it's way better.
Or even any other e mail provider(if using the e-mail app)

That's how I prefer Gmail over crappy Sprint Pic Messaging
Cause you get a tiny ridiculous pic even if they send you a full resolution pic or if you send a pic they get also a crappy blurry pic.

I hope all this makes sense lol:D

P.s. If you wanna find out someone's phone e mail address just ask the person to send you a picture msg to your email acct. (has to be a picture msg) cause some carriers use a different email address for text messages like verizon they Use (Phone number)@vtext.com

I think I may have found my problem. I hadn't deleted my threads. And the phone was getting full. Less than 13% of internal memory was left. I cleared the threads, came back up to 21% of memory and picture mail is back on it seems. I will also try the other suggestion as well.
