Help Stock 2.2 Evo , but my linpack benchmark

runs at a time of 2.43 and MFLOPS 34.556
Ive seen some run at a time of 0.16
What do I need to do to have that speed?

Root and do a reall "upgrade"

hey i got the same problem did rooting your phone help. i thought about it. but found out that rooting your phone voids the warranty. but might be worth it to get this speed. let me know if you did this and difficult it was. thanks

Don't put too much weight on benchmark numbers. After rooting, you will have ways to boost those numbers, but don't expect to see "faster" operation of the phone. The Evo pretty much runs more or less the same speed.

Battery life is a totally different issue. Rooting gives you good options for drastically reducing battery drain. Root for battery life, not an increase in a benchmark number.
