Stock back up file

I am returning my Captivate to AT&T but my initial back up file is corrupt. I just want to give them no reason to not take the phone back. Would someone be so kind as to go through the steps to restore the phone to its original state? A newbie here but sold on the driod now...just not AT&T....

Use Odin to flash the stock rom.

And I would of first learned how to revert back to stock, before rooting and changing everything.
