Help Stock email on sg3

Hope you guys can help me, I've tried to search for this but no joy. My sister in law, nephew and niece have all come over to android from apple ( sis in law and nephew sg3 and niece note 2). The problem my sis in law seems to be having is concerning the stock email app. She is using her blueyonder account that she has been using for years and doesn't want to use another for all her websites and all that. I know she had to use a gmail for the play store but doesn't want to change all her others. The problem she is having is that the emails are downloading to the stock app but then disappearing after a few seconds. She doesn't know where they are going. any and all help welcome and appreciated.

Does she have download all emails on? Not just 30 days? with no size limit?

I too have a Blueyonder account, and the limited settings of the standard email app caused me problems when trying to set up the Blueyonder account, so I switched to a more powerful alternative - in my case I settled on Aqua Mail (free). Here's a link to it in the Play store:

The settings I have there are as follows:

Name, password etc... enter your own

Server type: IMAP
Server name: imap.blueyonder.co.uk
Server port: 993
Security type: SSL (accept any)
Login: <your email address>
Password: <your password>

SMTP Server: blueyonder.co.uk
Server port: 465
Security type: SSL (strict check)
Authorization: Choose automatically
Login: <your email address>
Password: <your password>

Hope this helps! Once I had everything running as I wanted, I ended up deleting the accounts in the standard email app, so I'm not even aware of it still being on my phone unless I go looking for it.

Go into the stock email app, select this email acct (make sure your not in combined view) click the menu button select this acct select period to sync email to all. then go through each setting and make sure you have everything syncing all.

The settings you show are all STANDARD settings. The moment you choose SSL in the standard email app, it will use the ports you had to set up manually.

Ok, I'd lost any memory of that! Initially I tried to set Blueyonder up as a POP3 account, but it needed a "recent:" tag prefixed in one place, and the stock app wouldn't accommodate this. It was probably at that point I switched to an alternative, only to then decide that IMAP made more sense.

Just as a sidenote - you don't need a gmail account for the play store. I never had a gmail account and use my personal account for all google related services. I think it was only "back in the days" when a google own account was a requirement.
