Root stock recovery image

    Trying to get my Nexus back to how it was shipped to me. how do I revert back to the stock recovery? I get an android with red exclamation point after i flash the phone with the factory image.

    Did you manually flash the factory image, or did you use a toolkit? The stock recovery is a part of the factory image package, so it *should* have been installed with the other bits.

    There are full instructions on the process available here. I recommend that you give that a look just to make sure you didn't miss anything.

    I did manually flash it.

    Got my replacement today and it did the same thing which is why i thought the recovery wasn't being flashed. I didn't realize the stock recovery came up as an android with a red exclamation point until i read post number 6 here Recovery Mode issue (Red triangle) - xda-developers

    I feel better now that i sent the old one back in factory condition.

    Ah, yeah, I suppose I should have mentioned that. I assumed you meant that the phone was booting straight to the stock recovery (rather than booting to Android). Sorry about that!
