Help Stolen HTC? How to find it? =(

Hi there.
I am new at this forum and I need your help. :(
I used to have HTC Incredible S, brand new.
But 4 days ago, somebody has stolen it from me. I have visited police and
they have blocked it via IMEI for all networks in my country.
But my question is: Can I find the thief?

He/she can't call now (i hope), but this phone was sooo good, mp3 player, camera etc.
So it can be used though (i guess), so is there any way to find it even without a Sim card ?

I had it about one week, so I don't now about all apps/functions of this phone.

Thx for your replies. And sorry for my bad english, I hope you understood.

If it wasn't blocked you could remote install plan b from the market on your PC... then it would give you a location. Plan b is by lookout btw

And do I need a phone number? The thief could use any Sim card after that moment... i dont know how plan b works :(

I would assume. As long as its connected to a newprk whether it be cell or wifi and your gmail acct is still on then it should work

I don't get it, in my country, if you have your cell phone stolen, police can manage to track it down by IMEI in a matter of days and return it :/

hi need help i think my phone was stolen , now its not ringing any more, and i didn't copy down the imei number how do i locate this phone , i dnt know much. do help I'm so hurt i only jus got my fone. help

Its a bit late now, but with any new android, iphone or laptop, id load on 'prey'. Its a bit of softeare that sits idle. If you lose or have the device stolen, you can activate it from any pc/phone by logging in.

With the phone, it will show you the current gps location of the phone, you can text the phone and if the sim gets changed, even with prey in idle, it texts you the new phone number. You tell it what number to text the information in settings, so set it to a spouce or friend's mobile. The pc version will send you screen shots of what activity is taking place, and if there is a built in web cam, it will take a photo of the person using the laptop. Now you can potentially have a photo of who has your laptop, screenshots of their emails and maybe ebay account etc etc and the police will be far more likely to act on such good evidence.

Even if it had no sim card?

This method you have given only works when you sim card is still inside. Which is actually dumb. Who is going to use your sim card after stealing your phone?
Plus because the sim card is changed, your gmail account will be signed out, and because your gmail account is signed out, you cannot download apps to your phone through your computer. So Plan B cannot work here.
