So word on the street is MetroPCS LTE is AWS band. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this compatible with the Nexus4's dormant antennae?

Surely I'm wrong because someone should have pointed this out by now...

Even if it is compatible frequency wise, it still poses the problem that device needs standard gsm frequencies for voice and text. Metro being cdma wouldn't be able to grant these services to it. I don't know Metro well enough to say if they would let it on as if it was a data only device for the whole google voice combo though.

Been trying to call my local store to find out because I get LTE with them where I live and work and $60 unlimited LTE with tethering and no restrictions whatsoever is kind of worth it.

I don't think that it will work, because I don't think that Voice and SMS go through LTE, but please let us know if that works!

They don't. If Metro would allow it on their network, it would be as a data only device and in order to use sms and voice, it would have to be google voice and VOIP services only.

The PCS stuff is obviously going but it should be obvious to incorporate metroPCS LTE with T-Mobile since they operate on the same band. Therefore this should STILL work.

It works now that whether using T-Mobile or MetroPCS, you are using the same service (if using a GSM device). It did not work when the original post was made in January.
