Storage issue for Galaxy Mini S5570

Hi I'm new here! Wow what a community! Anyway, I'm in need of help pleassssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I tried a few of the methods here but I don't see to be able to have much luck with them. I also notcied that the posts were quite old too, so perhaps there's a shorter/simplier method by now.?????

Below is the problem and I'm sure lots of you out there have the same thing.
I get the 'internal storage is getting low' no matter how many aps I take off. I bought another 16 gb SD card, and uploaded an App 2 SD but i still can't shift anything over to the sd card. Nor can I download any other apps either. Can you help please?

Unfortunately the best way to take care of an issue like this is to root your device. This would allow you to move everything over to the SD card. Otherwise it sounds like you have exhausted a lot of the things to do about this issue.

Thanks for the prompt response. The thing I hadnt done was to delete my email account, so i did that and woe and behold it's gone. But now i have another problem when I set up the emal account again it keeps churning out the same emails that have come in from yesterday and today. Do you know of any way to stop this? I tried deleting, then emptying trash, the moving to trash, and deleting trash too. By the way, how do i root the phone? You don't sound as if that's a happy alternative.
