Just got this phone and when someone sends me a picture, the phone receives it as a short video (Has the picture in like a bubble with the > icon to play the video.

Anyone know what setting needs to be changed so it receives a picture as a picture and I can just tap the pic to see it full screen?

    Thanks

Mine does the same thing. Save the pic and it should save it correctly as a jpg file.

Now I know why I waited all this time before getting a smart phone. If there are these many bugs and poorly written apps now, it must have been a nightmare for early adopter! I can't afford to lose any more hair as most of it disappeared during the "Windows" years.

There is no solution, almost all android phones do this, just download an alternative messaging application, handcent sms let's me just click on the photo to open it, try it out, its much better than the stock app.

that's weird, my old 3G Droid didn't do that.

I'll have to give that a try, thanks!
