Please keep in mind that I'm very technologically challenged. I was really looking forward to streaming "Christmas Vacation" from my phone to my TV a couple of days ago but couldn't get it to work. It's something I've never tried but really expected it to be easy.

I bought a mini usb to HDMI adaptor and a new HDMI cable. I connected the adapter to my phone, one end of the cable to the adapter and the other end to my HDMI 2 port on my TV. The only other thing I did was switch my TV from Comp 1 to HDMI 2.

Am I missing something?? Is there something else I need to do to make it work?

    Thanks in advance!

Will anything play in the HDMI2 slot? Hook up a DVD/BluRay player into it and make sure it is active. I know sometines, you have to go into the TV settings to tell it what connections to accept.

Did you plug the MHL adapter into a power source? Has to be plugged in and the battery on the phone needs to have probably about a 60% charge on it already. Several reports of it not working with the battery low. I tried it with the battery at 35% and it played, but kept cutting out. Charged it to 60% and had no problems. BTW simply awesome to run a movie off my phone to TV and have it in HD....

Definitely make sure you have the MHL adapter powered. I had a few hiccups getting mine set up, but I rebooted the phone and the TV and the next time I plugged the MHL adapter in, voila! Everything worked in pure HD glory.

Can't wait for streaming the redzone channel on NFL mobile, they better fix this app by the end of the year.
