Hi all, I am a sales engineer for a company that specializes in streaming.

I have and love my droid, i have tried using it with several of our products for live streaming but with no luck.

I have tried video meant to stream with the Ipod and nothing happens
I have tried MP4 ASP and it starts to open the video but never plays.
I have tried progressive downloads of both with no luck
i have tried 3gp with no luck

Do you know what video formats it can stream?

It works with Youtube, wouldn't that be a starting point?

ok so after playing around, I have found that progressive and RTSP mp4 will work. and thats why it at least tried to open the video, now I just need to figure out what type of mp4 and what encoding parameters are the best for the device.

    ook so another update,

mpeg4 sp will work if it is a 3gp file
other wise it has to be mpeg4 h264 then you can use both .mp4 or .3gp

Taz I work in TV and I can stream videos of projects I shot and edited right on my Droid. Now I will say that I use Final Cut Studio to edit with and have everything I need at my disposal to compress videos for the web, ipod. DVD, or cell phones. Some of my videos are in the 3gp format and others are H.264 in the mp4 format. I use a program called Compressor and there are presets that anybody can use or you can create your own custom settings.
