I really wish I could watch Netflix on my Android. If I was to make my Android a wifi hotspot, could I purchase an iPhone and use it to watch Netflix from? Also, could I buy an iPhone3 or will Netflix only play on an iPhone4?

You can just get an iPod touch and stream netflix. I KNOW it will work with a 3GS. Not sure about 3G though. If all you want it for is straming, I would just grab an iPod touch and save some money.

Another forum also recommended the iPod Touch to save money. They said it will work on a first generation iPod Touch. I could probably pick one up on ebay for a good price. Thank you.

You could also just go with the PlayOn app.

No, the PlayOn app is actually a different deal.

You've got Netflix, Hulu, etc on your computer - all DRM is satisfied, life is good.

PlayOn streams the stuff you legally already have from your computer to your phone - if you're familiar with a SlingBox, it's like that.

    What's PlayOn? | PlayOn

It started out expensive, but you can now get the service for 5 bucks a month - I've chatted with quite a few PlayOn users who are swearing by it being the real deal to get around all of these delays in getting content to Android.

Thought I'd mention it as being a bit less expensive than buying and hassling a new device.

Yeah, and beware PhonymyPC (just in case you were looking for an alternative). They portray it as capable of doing Hulu, but it doesn't stream or have sound.:(
