So my friend tried one of the liberty nightlies with gingerbread and decided to restore his backup. But he didn't wipe data and cash. Now it just sits at the liberty boot screen. I tried the clockwork mods recovery boot menu but each time I flash it never will boot past the boot screen. What are his options?sbf?

If it's stuck at the logo and not the animation then a SBF process is the only thing to fix it.

Oh yeah I see your point I was just adding my .02. When people don't specify it's hard to help.

Restoring from a backup wipes everything anyways.

Gotta SBF. Deeper problems than data.

ah we usually refer to the 'boot screen' as you call it as the boot logo. Since in the android system it's titled logo.bin. But all is well.
I've been having this problem with my nandroids for a while. I'm going to take some advice from scary alien and try to get a log of the process to catch any errors that may come up.
