Help stuck in blue screen mode.

I just bought an unlocked LG gt540 and it worked just fine until I tried to update to android 2.1. The update got stuck at 4% and is in a blue screen "emergency mode" . I've disabled the modem and tried updating again. The updater will connect to the phone but stays at that point. Help Help Help! I don't want to end up with just a paperweight. Since it was originally a vodaphone where does one get a compatible driver since LG.com/us/ doesn't have a driver for that model? I have gone to LG UK and downloaded from there but I know nothing about smart phones.

Plug it as it is in Emergency Mode then follow the steps here(Post #2)... [Skip the steps which you can't do]

I assume your carrier is Vodafone(UK), if it is then use this ROM(Official Vodafone UK): http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/GT540/AVDFTS/V20b_00/V20B_00.kdz & if it's not Find & Download your ROM from here
