Help stuck in boot-loop help!!!

my wife's optimus s is stuck in a boot loop showing the android logo. I've searched and tried several approaches but to no avail. I try to boot to recovery and get a blank screen. The phone has been rooted and I have a recovery already on the sd card. I also have sdk installed on my computer but am a complete noob as far as using it. I can use it to reboot the phone though. Please help!

Try using the warranty

Warranty is voided if you're rooted. If you have insurance throw it in the sink and tell them it has water damage
