I know there are many different threads on how to fix a phone if its stuck in recovery, but mine is different. It will only boot into clockwork recovery but it wont do anything. And by that I mean no matter what option I choose, nothing happens. Even reboot system and power off. Lucky for me is that I still have adb shell access but I dont know how to fix my problem from the command prompt.

I dont have any backups of any kind (stupid I know) and I dont know how to access my sd card from my computer.

If anyone could help me on this problem I would love you.

I have the same problem. Im stuck on the Android system recovery and it keeps booting into an infinte loop on thunderc-1.1.0. If any one can help that would be great.

    How did you fix yours?

Stop using thunderc unless the dev of the ROM you want to flash says to use it.

Always use the recommended recovery that the dev of the ROM posts.

For asopCM7 and other ROMs that are compatible with ClockworkMod recovery, follow these steps:

    1) Download the recovery file to your PC: aospCWMod-VM670-20110531.img

    2) Put this file on your sdcard's main partition using your PC's card reader or usb adaptor.

    3) Download and install the Java SDK on your computer

    4) Download and install the Android SDK on your computer

    5) Press the windows key on your computer and type in command , this will open a command window

    6) Type cd c:/PATH_TO_ANDROID-SDK/platform-tools this is the location of adb.exe

    7) Connect your phone to your computer via USB and turn it on

    8) Type adb shell

    9) If you get a $ sign at the prompt, you are not rooted, see the sticky thread on rooting

    10) If you see a # sign, you are rooted, so type flash_image recovery /sdcard/NAME_OF_THE_RECOVERY_YOU_DOWNLOADED

    11) Type reboot recovery

Your phone should now boot into your new recovery, and it should have more than 4 options, if you only see 4 options something went wrong.

I have been trying this but when I get into the part where the command :

    10) If you see a # sign, you are rooted, so type flash_image recovery /sdcard/NAME_OF_THE_RECOVERY_YOU_DOWNLOADED

    I type in like so:

    flash_image recovery /sdcard/aospCWMod-VM670-20110531

    then this is said:

    failed with error: -1
    error opening /sdcard/aospCWMod-VM670-20110531

    I also type:
    flash_image recovery /sdcard/aospCWMod-VM670-20110531.img

    Same error happens!

Anyone can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Try redownloading the recovery, or maybe try the xionia recovery version of cwm.
