    Hello Everybody,

I got the itch to try a Gingerbread ROM, and I chose Serendipity, mainly because that was my Froyo ROm as well.

I followed the install instructions to the letter, and It went very well. The only glitch (it you can call it that!!!) is that my phone does not get 3G anymore. I go to the Phone info page, and it says I am running on Edge.

Was there a modem change involved with installing Gingerbread that I was not aware of?

If it matters, I am in Canada, with Rogers.

Thanks in advance for any answer you may have for me.

I had to flash a different modem than the one that came with S7 (UBJV6)- I went back to UGJK4, the modem that came with 6.4. I'm not sure what works best for Rogers, but someone will come up with a suggestion :)

    Thanks for the help.

It was indeed a modem problem. I searched again the (quite big) Serendipity thread over at XDA, and found someone who had about the same problem. Someone suggested using the I9000UGJK4 modem for Gingerbread. I did, and it works now. I have 3G again.

So case closed. Thanks to everyone who came by. I hope my answer will help someone.
