Root stuck on start up screen, Help!

I tried to do a nandroid backup. placed image file on the root of the phone. downloaded terminal emulator. did that deal. tried to boot into recovery and now im stuck in the lg start up screen. doesnt make sense. anyone, please help.

Which root tutorial did you use?
Custom ROM, or Stock?
Is this a new problem or have you been rooted a while and have done a nand backup before?

Did you try removing the battery and re-inserting it?

My phone locked up and that worked for me.
