Help Stuck on Virgin Mobile screen

Hey guys, my optimus f3 is stuck on the virgin mobile screen. ive tried restarting it, taking the battery out, and nothing works. if i leave it plugged in and off, it will go to the battery charging screen, but as soon as turn it on, it gets stuck on that virgin mobile startup screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ok, tried looking at other threads and still no luck. one thread suggested a hard reset for virgin mobile, done by pressing the volume down and power keys for 10 seconds. i tried this and it just keeps trying to start the phone again and gets stuck in the same place...I looked up some other threads that said for metro pcs you need to hold the volume down, power, and menu keys, so i tried that to and it still wont give me the option to do a factory reset. please help, i need yall

Ok, so i got it to factory reset! thanks for listening to me figure it out, i feel real dumb, when i tried to do the factory reset, i still had the device plugged into my computer's usb port, which apparently wont let you reset. anyways, thats the solution to get past the virgin mobile screen getting stuck. hold the down volume key and the power button, then select factory reset using the down arrows and select the option using the menu key. whew, glad that worked geez

Exact same thing just happened to me after I updated Handcent SMS. Just did the factory reset and it's still stuck on the Virgin Mobile screen. Sometimes it plays the startup sound and sometimes it doesn't. It's actually stuck on the startup video... it starts as a video and then freezes. The LED light is cycling through the colors but nothing else happens. I'll try plugging it in for a few minutes and then check on it.

Update: Plugging in didn't help. Removed the battery for like 3 minutes and replaced; didn't change anything. I can hold the Power and Vol Down keys to get to the menu, but the factory reset didn't fix it. I also tried removing the SIM card for shits n giggles; same thing.
