When someone sends me a text that has movement it comes to me as a gif? Why is that?

    Only .GIF images allow animations.

Anytime I receive gifs in a text they don't move, my old cheap LG flip worked them fine...what am I doing wrong?

Maybe there's a "show animation" setting, or something like that, in your email setup.

Speaking about texts only, In tests sending back and forth the same image, my wife's Moment will send and receive animated GIFs. My Hero will send them fine, but receives them as a static image.
