    Why we need kernel source?
For custom roms, Recoveries. without kernel source, developers can't help us much.

Developers plz now its on your hand..

    Regards,
    Steve

Sent. I hope they listen. Please, if you haven't sent an email please do so. Just ask for them to release the kernel source code for the phone and thank them for their time, that's it. The more people that request it, the better the chance of them releasing it.:D

Sent an email saying this -

"Hello my name is David ****** and I currently own a ZTE Supreme on the carrier Virgin Mobile USA. This phone as been nothing but fantastic for me and it runs smoothly.

However, this phone could be even better if the kernel source code was released for this phone. This would open a world of opportunities for developers to help make software more available like other ZTE phones with their kernel sources released here - http://support.zte.com.cn/support/news/NewsMain.aspx?type=service.

Please consider releasing the kernel source code for this phone (model # N9810) as this would greatly aid many developers who would appreciate it.

    Thank you for your time

    ~ David ******"

I replaced "******" with my last name

They did post 3.4.x kernels for the N9510 and N9511 models on Dec 24. There's about 4 kB difference in size between the archives, but they look the same so far. I'll do some diffs and check further. I think there's a fair chance the N9810 kernel uses the same (or verrry similar) source. My N9810's kernel is currently reported as "3.4.0-perf-svn5733"

BTW, these guys are just lovely... they ZIPped the kernel sources, then split that archive into 14 chunks which they then archived with 7zip, each of which they then ZIPped again. It's like every little obstacle is important to them.

    Edit:

As I should have figured, the differences between N9510 and N9511 kernels is device driver stuff. Since the N9811 has different hardware (13 Mpixel camera, for one), we're gonna need the right source :|

So yes, let's keep the pressure on!

PS: I'd like to be able to use Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, but kernel support wasn't available until Linux 3.5

I also got a reply, it says,

"Thank you for contacting ZTE and your prompt reply.

If you are looking for the Kernel source code than

Please check in the below link .

    Bulletin

If that model is not available there than we really Sorry to inform you that we can't provide this now it may take more time depends on the technical department.

You can also contact the local dealer where you purchased the device to or network operator to send a request to ZTE so that we can release the Kernel source code because

ZTE is not selling any product to the customer or in the market directly.

ZTE will sell only in bulk quantity to the network provider and to the dealer

Should there be further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards"

Anybody know the Virgin Mobile email that may deal with the kernel source realease?

Sweet! I'm downloading it now. As I said earlier, I want full Bluetooth 4.0 support which didn't arrive until newer than this kernel. First I'll compile this 3.4 and test, then try to port the relevant drivers, etc to 3.5 or newer.
