yes :D , yet another battery thread with results that back up those that have posted their tricks. i unplugged my phone today at 7am cst before heading out the door to college algebra (i hate summer school!) it is now 5:10p cst and i have 57% battery left. i have been using the phone for several calls (had a phone job interview that lasted aprox 15min and talked to progressive for aprox 10min after checking voicemail) and have also been playing on the market and browsing the web. i figured i would through a public thank you out there for those that have helped me get the most out of my EVO and battery!! take what you want from this thread. i am not telling you to use what i use, only simply showing others what has worked for me. its my .02's!

HUGE thanks to nick325i for his thread - http://androidforums.com/all-things...clockwidget-insane-battery-life-40-hours.html

Even HUGER thanks to Flipz and Toast for rooting!! [ROM] 6/12/10 | Fresh Evo 0.2 | 1.32.651.6 base + deodex + fresh goodies + bug fixes - xda-developers

    Other battery tricks ive used:

    My OS:

    Up and Awake Times:

Menu > Settings > About > Battery > Battery use:

Running Services (notice no gtalk :) )

Advanced Task Killer List Of Apps That Are Running (that i always have running):

thank you to all the developers out there and others that are brave to test new OS's and new widget's to get the most out of this phone! you guys rock!! :D

11.5 hrs here and 63% left :) .... No task killers, but use System Monitor. WiFi on all day, only connected to wifi, but no wifi connection at my work for 8.5 hrs. GPS/4g Off.

The biggest changes/tips I did was the GSM (prl) to CDMA (prl) change. And turned off the wifi looking for connections (I think that is why a lot of ppl have battery issues when wifi is off and not connected to their home/work b/c it's constantly searching for wifi connections) and I did the battery calibration by HTC :)

    Uptime 32:35
    Awake Time 3:51
