Help suddenly stopped recognizing my SD card

I have been using a 32Gig SD card, which has been working just fine...

about a week or so ago, I started getting a message every time i would turn my screen on that SD card has been removed, following by 'preparing SD card'

today, I got a message saying empty SD card, when I've been saving all my photos to it... after that it asked me if i wanted to format my SD card and risk losing everything on it... i said NO to that...

I took the back cover off, took out my SD card... put it back in... same message...

Restated my phone... went into Setting and its not even reading my SD card at all saying insert SD card.

What is happening??

I did have a similar issue occur with a prior device and it had to do with encryption on the SD card. By any chance have you encrypted either the device, the SD card or both?

Unfortunately I had this happen to me also with two SanDisk 32gb sd cards. From what I can see on the S3 forums its a pretty common problem. I ordered a 64gb replacement and so far so good.

Have you tried taking off your SD card and putting it back in?

If this doesn't work, try using another SD card, if it recognize it, than you know the issue is with the SD card. If so, try backing up your SD card using your PC, placing it back on your phone, then format it, then restore your data.

If this still doesn't work, try using another SD card and restore your data to your new card. If still it doesn't work, it must be the phone or some settings. Not sure where to find the encryption settings so I won't be able to help you out on that regard. :)

gonna try plugging it into my laptop, hopefully it reads it and reformatting... except for i dont have the little case its at work till jan 3.... wahhh lol

why am i having so many issues with this phone... =/

I dropped my Droid X one time and SD card was trash after.
Could not read in phone - could not read in computer- could not reformat.

Phone worked fine after the drop just kept telling me no SD card and a new SD card fixed the problem but I lost all my photos etc.

Sorry
