A while back I decided to root my droid. Before doing so I decided to learn up a bit on DOS/Linux commands to sort of understand what the heck was being typed when I looked at what others did to their rooted droids. So I rooted the droid, hid all of those unnecessary apps, and even flashed 2.1 onto it. 2.1 was cool but with Sweeter Home 2 beta almost out I reverted back to 2.0.1 to use that instead.

Now just today I decided to start all over, I wanted to revert my droid back to stock, fresh out of the box. Hell I even had to re-activate. But one thing remains, the damn Superuser app that appears. It just wont go away. What gives?

I don't remember exactly why it won't go away, but it shouldn't be functional anymore. Someone with more knowledge might be able to tell you how to get rid of it.

From what the mods have told me, you can link to another forum, but should not link to a specific thread if it contains downloads for pirated software (including the ROMs and bits of Android 2.1 that have been liberated from the Nexus).

This is how I did it (my Droid is still rooted, but no more app cluttering up my drawer). First, reroot your droid. Second, install astro file manager and go through your /system/app files until you find the superuser app and long click it then view the details. Learn the name, plug in your Droid, go to adb shell, log in as su, mount the system, and type rm /system/app/<insert full name of Superuser app here>

just got my superuser togo away... heres how.

make sure your rooted and have terminal emulator installed on phone.
    open terminal Emulator
type in everything on each line then hit enter.

    mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    cd /system/app
    rm Superuser.apk

phone should restart and superuser is out of pull out drawer.

How do you get the superuser app and where do you see it? I might not have rooted my droid right.
