I took home my new phone on the weekend and obviously have been downloading every stupid app i could find. Now, however, i am thinking are any of these apps capable of harming either my phone or stealing my data (passwords etc)?

Is this a genuine concern or am i being paranoid?

+1 to that thread. in anycase the easiest way you can protect yourself is just understadnign what permissions mean and reading what app wants what permission. if you spot somethign that seems off, then concider what its doing.
