I've never done that. I hope these are openable phones. Please answer soon!

I don't have your phones, but usually sim cards are in the same place where your sd card slot would be.

I figured, but how do I remove the back cover? I looked at what I guess is the official manual, which mentions a notch at the lower left. I grabbed a dime but I'm sure not seeing it. Is there some other way to open it without destroying it?

Ok, I got the radiant open, and thank goodness it's a normal phone that way. This risio 4 has some weird tray thing. I got it out but there's no way to put the sim card in there and have it stay put. It's just a thin framework with no bottom to it. I've tried and tried.

It's a skill that's for sure, but it is possible. Maybe try using some tweezers.

Great minds think alike. I just got some. Wish me luck.

I have almost exactly the same problem with the new Moto G. I got the sd card out of the old one but there's a similar crappy little bendable (woops) framework. The sd card doesn't fit, the sim card doesn't fit, and I almost want to give up on the whole shebang.

How does the card go into this alleged tray? What keeps it there? Does it have to be glued? I think it would be nonmetal side up with the contacts on the inside, away from the outside of the phone. In the case of the sim card, I really can't tell. It does say Cricket on the top. Maybe it would help if I knew the C is on the outside, or the t. Please look at those pictures (Yet another new phone thread)!

I looked at the video but it didn't really show exactly how. I don't know why the card doesn't fit in the slot. It should have some kind of receptacle for the card, or at least be flexible enough that it could conform to the shape of the card.

can you post a photo? and just to be sure, you are inserting it in the sim card slot and not the sd card slot. usually most phones the put both cards on the same tray.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have that right. I hope I can repost those photos to this thread as well. What are those things for opening phones, spodges? Where are they available and how much do they cost? I'm almost certain I could get the card in there right if I didn't have to waste time fooling around with these poorly designed and manufactured "trays". Maybe I should just get a real phone that opens normally.

a paperclip works just fine to pop open the sim/sd card tray. and most manufacturers use similar trays......so......

I have the tray out just fine. The problem is getting the sd card to fit into the slot and stay there while I put the tray back in the Moto G. It does not fit properly.

No, only I would have those. I'm still trying to fit the sd card into this crazy, flimsy "tray" of theirs. It's a 512 gb, which means that giving up is not an option.

so from the image, the tray looks upside down. you can see the shape within the tray that should matchup with the sd card as well as the sim card.

Thanks, I guess that'll help. I'll try it again. I just wish these things were easier.

    mikedt 你好

Looks like you got the tray upside-down. If you turn it over, it may actually have "SIM" and "SD" marked on it, and the SD should sit correctly then.
