I like it, although I prefer swype. I passed swiftkey on to my gf to use on her Hero a couple months ago and she's been using it ever since

just a shame it doesnt include a mic button for voice search etc, so i have to switch to the HTC IME mod in the imput method dropdown to use voice to text.

How much will they charge when it gets out of beta ? I cannot find anything relate to pricing on their site.
Not for me in its current form: prediction doesn't work for non-English languages.

I tried it, prediction seemed good. I think it disables pinch to zoom on the browser though?

Try powering off and on, I find the pinch-zoom sometimes gets disabled when I tried different keyboards.

Pinch to zoom was disabled when I installed swype. Power down then back on sorted it.

Downloaded it to try after viewing this thread, seems like a pretty good bit of software, once it learns my typing patterns better and I learn how best to use it I can see it saving me a lot of time.

It doesnt, it has access to your key presses same as any keyboard...lol, and past sms if you allow it, to learn your style of typing to aid its prediction.

its not any more of a threat than any other keyboard app or similar.

the message you saw on installation is a standard android message, not specific to this app.

Who would do Internet banking on a phone anyway?! No way.

I have been playing with both for a bit. Swype is cool. SwiftKey is quicker though. So do you want cool or quick?

It's a warning that pops up when you install the keyboard. It's rather ominous, but i am sure it's relatively harmless.

I'm giving it a shot, despite really liking Swype. I think it may actually make for faster typing.

It's odd to have to stare at the selection zone, though. Maybe I'll get used to that.

I too find it odd checking the selection screen. I do find it overall quicker and the next word prediction is magic. But I find the stock keyboard better at predicting the current word I'm typing. Maybe its just me.

Pretty clever although if you just use it as a normal keyboard then it gets some stuff wrong however remember this is a BETA. I see this as the future of typing. I'm sticking with it now as it is a lot faster
