Instead of trying to grab the notification bar and swiping it down, simply start ABOVE the screen and swipe down. Fast or slow makes no difference.

You can swipe it back up, or simply hit the back button.

Or, press: menu->notifications. no swipe needed.

Yes, and it's another reason to get a full face screen protector. I have the verizon ones to hold me over until the steinheils come out and I feel the edge of the screen protector everytime I swipe down.

This x1000. That damn edge of the Verizon screen protector is super annoying when pulling down the notification bar. Another reason why it was a total fail for them not to go full frontal on the screen protector. I can't WAIT to get a Steinheil.

Yes. I found this out a few hours after I got mine... My fat fingers kept opening the clock widget. I find it best to put your finger nearly dead on the verizon logo (about half logo half screen) and swipe down.

I just leave my finger there for less than a second and the bar shows up and I swipe. I don't have to worry about moving or opening the clock widget that way. I like it SO much better than opening the notifications menu. As much as possible, I like to use the tools they gave us for moving among screens on our screens rather than the menu buttons. Just me.
