So I was given a brand new 1800 ma evo battery and lo and behold it fits nicely in the incredible. Its not a drastic difference but dare I say It feels "normal" almost like this is what should have came stock with the incredible. Any idea if this is bad for the phone to continue to use this?

No, its fine.

It is fine to use that battery. I have a 3500 ma battery and it works great. The only draw back is that I have to use a different back to the phone, which came with the battery. Does that 1800 ma battery still let you use the factory back that came on the phone

The 1800 fits fine without a new back, its snug but didn't require a new back. its red just like the stock battery.

I'm pretty sure the "Evo" battery you are using is an aftermarket, the same as I have in my phone currently. So much better then the stock. And it does fit with the original back cover although very very snug. The Evo comes stock with a 1500.

it is fine. I use after market 1500mAh batteries intended for the Touch Pro 2 as well as a 2600mAh intended for the Touch Diamond 2(i just cut out the back of my phone to make it fit.)

Anyone know if the evo 1800 is signficantly different/better than the seido 1750? I saw a thread somewhere a while back that implied that the HTC stock batteries lasted longer than the third-party batteries.
