I know this is a dumb question but is there anyone who got in on the swype beta and are not using their beta sign-in info. to actual test out swype?

If so and if you don't mind I would really like to try it out and assist in the beta and try the software out. Feel free to PM me the info. :D

If you have a friend with the beta, even if they have already installed it, you can still use their info. I logged into my friend's email account (with his permission:p), clicked on the link, and got it that way.

And for the record, I love Swype.

I still have not been able to find a working copy. The copy I found says it has expired and will not let me type. Can someone PM me please.

    Thanks.

Even if you get a working copy it still requires a User Name and Password, that is where I am at.

try breaking the 10 posts mark before asking for someone else's private email and password .... but you still probably won't get it

This whole Swype business model makes no sense. Correct me if I am wrong, but they only release to Beta testers, they stopped accepting new testers in June.

Then, they release new languages, but don't open up the beta testing to new members. It is a very closed system and I am getting the impression that they are totally clueless with what they are doing.

Some new phones have it installed, but dinosaur phones like my Incredible, aren't considered new enough I guess.

Swype is nice, but I am not playing their games.

Just get slideit and move on. If swype doesn't want our money the heck with it.

I completely agree with this post. I tried Slide It after someone else had mentioned it in lieu of Swype and so far it's been great. After the trial is over, I'll gladly kick my $7 over to the developer to continue coming up with great stuff. Slide It doesn't have every bell and whistle that comes with Swype, but it DOES include voice texting which Swype leaves out. At any rate, I wish there were some good Metamorph themes for Slide It, but in the short run, I'll take a company that all of us can use, if we're willing to pony up for it.

My Swype beta just ran out....hopefully I can just download a new one and it'll work. I died a little inside when I realized I had to go back to the old fashioned tap keyboard.:p

They used droid users as beta testers and then don't make if available in the marketplace for the very phones they ran beta on. Guinea pig gets the gas chamber and the new kid on the block gets the toys. I am sure Versizon made a deal to have it only on the new phones. Gotta have a new selling point.

I too moved to SlideIT. My gripe is that slide it doesn't have the alternative symbols available by long pressing a key.
